Golden Hair Awards

Hopefully the Golden Globe awards didn't completely slip under your radar. Fashion critics rant and rave over the best and worst dressed on the red carpet. But since I can't pronounce half of those designers anyway, besides someone like Alexander McQueen, I choose to give out the best and worst hair awards otherwise known as The Golden Hair Awards. Take a look but the trends seem to be ombre ends, hair swept to one side or both!

HAWT
George Clooney and Stacy Keibler
George Clooney - Shocked you! I'm definitely not referring to the girl in this picture! But his 50 shades of gray are awesome.
Jennifer Lopez
J. Lo - Super gorge. The brown fade to blond looks great on Jenny.  She's stands out from the other girls on the block

Trends I Can't Get With

The following is a list of trends where I like the idea of them, but just can't get with them myself

Lost (the TV show): I tried watching from the beginning but I found myself being very lost

Fringe: The strings get in the way of everyone seeing your lovely purse! I just don't understand.

Turbans: While they may look nice on some people, they seem to make me look like an alien.

Magnetic Nails: Okay, I must admit, I've never wanted to try this trend. Were they trying to make the new crackle?

Uggs: They look cute and oh-so-warm, but for $200+ bucks, I can wear $50 boots and some warm socks!

New Edition - New Outlook

Just made it home from the New Edition concert. Seeing that my favorite band, N'Sync was inspired by New Edition, I thought it'd be pretty fun to go. But also considering that I wasn't even born when they first came out, I didn't know very many songs.
So what's the next best thing to do at a concert?? People watch! Besides the outrageous outfits that Oakland people (men AND women wear), I also noticed hair styles. The women tended to wear long, straight weaves. So different from the east coast, where this year's fad/trend/preference/whatever tend to be the curly weaves. That being said, I don't think I prefer straight hair anymore on myself. I'm not sure when the next time I straighten it will be, but I don't think it will be for at least another year or two (but we'll see how that goes).

What's the longest you've gone without straightening your hair?
